Pediatric EM Fellowship

BC Childrens

BC Children’s Hospital is pleased to offer a 2 year fellowship training program in Pediatric Emergency Medicine to qualified applicants interested in learning in a fun, supportive, enriching environment. We aim to attract and develop highly motivated, intelligent, and exceptional fellows who will become leaders in the field of Pediatric Emergency Medicine. This fully accredited program offers a curriculum that meets and often exceeds Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada standard.

BC Children’s Hospital is situated in beautiful Vancouver, Canada, one of the most vibrant and active cities in the world. Known for its stunning scenery and landscape, Vancouver provides the perfect backdrop for fellowship training in Pediatric Emergency Medicine. The hospital is a tertiary care pediatric facility and a regional trauma center, which offers the full spectrum of sub-specialty services including a pediatric intensive care unit and a specialized pediatric transport service. The emergency department has an annual census of 43,000 patient visits ranging from the infant with a runny nose and cough to the major trauma patient.

Our fellowship program accepts applications from residents in Canadian Royal College training programs in Pediatrics and Emergency medicine, as well as international applicants who have completed their specialty training. We also welcome senior residents in Emergency medicine interested in developing an area of competence in Pediatric Emergency medicine within their core Emergency training.
