All of the CCFP-EM programs across Canada are competitive and prospective applicants are encouraged to take electives in emergency medicine. We make every effort to accommodate elective residents during the summer months. If a resident cannot be accommodated at St Paul’s, we will work with you to try and find an appropriate alternate location. It is understood that this can be difficult to arrange and electives done in other hospitals are looked at equally.
