The UBC Department of Emergency Medicine educates residents and medical students across British Columbia at the UBC Medical School in Vancouver, as well as affiliates at the University of Victoria, the University of Northern British Columbia and the UBC Southern Medical Program in Kelowna.
The role of the Academic Department of Emergency Medicine is to discover new and better ways to manage patients presenting to emergency departments and to share the knowledge of best practices with all emergency medicine practitioners and new learners. Our faculty and staff have an impressive record of research and discovery.
The Department consists of more than 700 clinical faculty members, as well as over 80 administrative and research staff.
