In the News! Number of COVID-19 patients not increasing at Kelowna General Hospital
Dr. Jeff Eppler, clinical instructor at UBC Department of Emergency Medicine and emergency physician at Kelowna General Hospital, told the Vernon Morning Star that he has not yet seen a spike in COVID-positive patients at the hospital, but the change in mandatory mask-wearing is still too new to know all of its implications. He attributes the stable COVID cases to the high vaccination rates in the community and the natural immunity provided by the highly infectious Omicron variant.
