University Hospital of Northern BC in Prince George hosts an active community-style Emergency Department ripe for academic research. With many active industrial enterprises and geographically situated along major highway routes, Prince George sees a mix of high acuity trauma as well as acute medical / surgical patients. UHNBC also hosts undergraduate medical training and Family Practice residency programs which opens up the areas of teaching and medical education for research.
Currently there are no active research projects underway but there are many enthusiastic nurses and physicians in our ER looking for opportunities to become involved in research.
