A successful CIHR’s inaugural Rewarding Success competition for Dr. Corinne Hohl and her team.

August 26, 2019

Congratulations to Corinne Hohl and her research team!!!

Corinne and her team were successful in CIHR’s inaugural Rewarding Success competition which funded teams of researchers collaborating with health payer organizations to bring about health systems changes. Corinne and her team have been collaborating with the Ministry of Health, Vancouver Coastal, the Lower Mainland Consolidated Pharmacy and the BC Support Unit to plan for, implement and evaluate the integration of ActionADE, a software that allows front line care providers to document adverse drug events, and send that information to PharmaNet. This program will help care providers share information important to subsequent care providers. It supports continuity of care around medication information, thus preventing morbidity due to unintentional re-exposures to contra-indicated and culprit medications.

The CIHR grant is valued at $2.4M. With in kind and in cash contributions from all contributing stakeholders the grant is valued at almost $11M.
