Jim Christenson Receives Helen Karounis Memorial Award for Professionalism in EM

Congratulations to Dr. Jim Christenson, who received the Helen Karounis Memorial Award for Professionalism in Emergency Medicine at the 2019 CAEP Conference. This award recognizes a physician, resident, staff, who upholds the highest standards of professionalism in emergency medicine. The recipient demonstrates the following qualities:

 

  • Is altruistic, has integrity, is honesty, and conducts themselves ethically
  • Shows care and compassion
  • Shows competence and knowledge of one’s limits
  • Shows openness
  • Shows responsibility to the profession and society
  • Is able to work within a team
  • Is an excellent role model
