Congratulations to Drs. Adam Lund and Sheila Turris, who will be traveling as visiting scholars to Flinders University in Adelaide, South Australia in December 2013! Adam and Sheila will be working on a collaborative framework for Mass Gatherings Research, and the construction of an approach for data collection at mass gatherings internationally. This will be the beginning of an iterative process, that is hoped will culminate in a white paper on mass gatherings research to be presented for ratification at the World Congress on Disaster and Emergency Medicine in Cape Town, South Africa in 2015. The invitation Adam and Sheila received is a testimony to their internationally recognized expertise in this area and to the success of the DEM Mass Gathering Medicine Interest Group.
