Several emergency physicians across many of our teaching sites are willing to have first and second year students accompany them during a clinical shift. This is particularly helpful for students who are exploring career options, and those who have a possible interest in Emergency Medicine.
COVID UPDATE: We are happy to report that we are now able to accept requests from both Year 1 and Year 2 medical students for shadowing shifts.
To arrange a shadowing shift, you may contact one of the EM Years 1 & 2 Preceptors to check their schedule and availability. Once the dates are arranged, please make sure to notify the EM Program Manager, Ms. Janet Chung at janet.chung@ubc.ca.
