Dr. Van Dewark had worked at Vancouver General Hospital since completing his residency in Emergency Medicine at McMaster in 2017. His interests professionally and academically pertain to medical education, particularly in relation to department management and cognitive task load prioritization. He is also involved in the development of digital education technologies. Recently he has started research into personal protection equipment in the emergency department since the pandemic started in 2020. While not in the emergency department he enjoys hiking, skiing, reading anything related to history, and spending time with his three children and traveling as time allows.
